William (Bill) Davis is the Team Lead of the CLIA, CT, MG Team in the STD Laboratory Reference and Research Branch at the CDC. He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his Ph.D from Georgia State University. He began his career at the CDC in the fall of 2008. Since that time, he has worked in diagnostic development for Influenza, Viral Special Pathogens, Coronaviruses and Bacterial STIs.
