Dr. Alison Footman leads the STI advocacy program at AVAC. In this role, Dr. Footman focuses on advocacy and implementation of STI vaccines in diagnostics in limited resource settings. Prior to joining AVAC, Dr. Footman was a post-doctoral fellow at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the HPV Cancer Prevention Program. She earned her PhD in Health Behavior from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and an MPH in Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases from Yale School of Public Health.
