Dr. Bachmann is an Infectious Diseases physician and is currently the Chief Medical Officer for the Division of STD Prevention at CDC. Prior to joining CDC, Dr. Bachmann was a Professor of Medicine at Wake Forest University Health Sciences in Winston-Salem, NC and the Medical Director for Guilford County, NC. Dr. Bachmann has over 20 years of experience providing STI and HIV care and conducting clinical research.
