Lead, Gonorrhea Team
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Atlanta, Georgia, United States
I received my BS in Biological Sciences from Florida State University and my PhD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I've been at CDC for about 8 years and started out doing genomics of Neisseria gonorrhoeae (GC). Now, I'm the lead of the Gonorrhea Team in the STD Laboratory Reference and Research Branch in the Division of STD Prevention and we support our GC antimicrobial resistance surveillance projects both domestic and international along with developing culture independent molecular assays for detecting GC AMR.
